Scottish Conservative MSP Jeremy Balfour for Lothian has congratulated Bonnyrigg Rose FC for being promoted to league 2 of the SPFL.
Jeremy Balfour has lodged a motion in the Scottish Parliament congratulating the Midlothian side on being promoted to League two for the first time in the club’s history.
The motion makes note of the fantastic achievement for the players, staff, and supporters of Bonnyrigg.
Their promotion comes after a thrilling 4-0 aggregate win over Cowdenbeath F.C. who now face relegation to the Lowlands League.

“I am certain that this footballing success will have a positive effect on the whole of Midlothian, especially encouraging young people to play football at their local clubs.
