On Saturday, Midlothian Conservative and Unionist Association held our Annual General Meeting.
We were delighted to welcome members, old and new, from across the county.
Following the Annual General Meeting, there are several announcements to be made:
Dr Katherine G Reid stood down as Chairman following the conclusion of her third consecutive term in office.
Vice-Chairman Reuben T. Earl was elected unopposed as Chairman for the 2023-24 term.
Karen Soar remains as Honorary Treasurer, with Chloe Oakshett assuming the role of Honorary Secretary.
Commenting Chairman Reuben Earl said: “I am delighted to have been elected Chairman by fellow members. I would like to thank Katherine for her service to the association and for her unwavering support and commitment to those she worked alongside. I am honoured to have been of them.
In the coming year, I look forward to building on the strong foundation I inherit as we move forward to the next UK General Election. We have a lot of work to do, and I invite all members to join the Executive Officers and Councillors as we take our message to our communities across Midlothian”.
